Puneri Pagadi is a distinctive style of Turban or Puneri Pagadi is a distinctive style of Turban or Headgear, which is considered as a symbol of Pride and Honour. Generally Puneri Pagadi is handcrafted buy using different types of fabrics, in Pune City of Maharashtra, India. GI Tag was given to the Puneri Pagadi on 4th  September 2009.

The Puneri-style Pagadi was introduced in the 19th century by Mahadev Govind Ranade, a social reformer. Later, this Red- Rounded pagdi was worn by many leaders like #Lokmanya_Tilak. The use of this historical Pagadi has changed over the years and now it is used on special occasions, wedding ceremonies, corporate felicitations and on traditional days in colleges. Paithani is a variety of sari, named after the Pai Paithani is a variety of sari, named after the Paithan town in Aurangabad, district from state of Maharashtra in India where the sari was first made by hand. Present day Yeola town in Nashik, Maharashtra is the largest manufacturer of Paithani Sarees and related fabric products. Paithani Sarees and Fabrics has received Geographical Indication Tag in 2010

Paithani is a sari made of silk and zari. It is a plain weave, with weft figuring designs according to the principles of tapestry. Paithani is characterised by borders of an oblique square design, and a padar/pallu with a peacock design. Among other varieties, single coloured and kaleidoscope-coloured designs are also popular. The borders and the padar are woven in zari regardless of the colour of the sari. Zari is a metallic yarn, made of pure silver.

A single sari may weigh from 1.45 kg or more depending upon the weight of the silk and zari used. Weaving could take between 18 and 24 months, depending upon the complexity of the design.

Machilipatnam Kalamkari also known as Pedana Kalam Machilipatnam Kalamkari also known as Pedana Kalamkari is a  style of Kalamkari work which involves vegetable dyed block-painting of a fabric. It is produced at Pedana a nearby town of Machilipatnam in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It was registered under Geographical Indication in 2008.

This style of art evolved during the rule of Mughal Dynasty and practiced by Golconda Sultanate.  It mainly uses vegetable dyes which are applied onto the fabric with the help of wooden blocks.

Different textile products produced from  Machilipatnam Kalamkari style of work include, wall hangings and clothing like, bedsheets, curtains, saris etc. A wall hanger dating back to 15th Century AD, is still being displayed in Victoria Museum, London.

Ganjam Kewda is a male flower of the fragrant scre Ganjam Kewda is a male flower of the fragrant screwpine plant used for extracting kewda oil. A plant is native to the tropics. Kewda scent is produced mostly in the district Ganjam of Odisha, India.. It is registered under the Geographical Indications (GI) in 2012.

The flower of the kewda plant grows on a small tree or shrub; it is both cultivated and grows wild in coastal areas. The flower's bouquet is sweet, similar to rose flowers, with some fruity notes. The plants flower three times a year. Although kewda plants can be found through most of India, 90% of the commercial production of the kewda flower is estimated to occur in the Odisha state.

Kewda is used to flavor foods and for Ayurveda healing. It is also used in perfume,oil and cosmetics. Kewda flower has special important in rituals of  Ganesh Festival.

Tangaliya Shawl is a handwoven Shawl and textile m Tangaliya Shawl is a handwoven Shawl and textile made by the Dangasia community in Gujarat, India.  The 700-year-old indigenous craft is native to the Surendranagar district, of Saurashtra-region of  Gujarat. Tangaliya Shawl has received GI Tag in 2009.

The shawls are woven in pit looms at homes and knot a contrast color thread with the warp, which are woven into the textile to create the effect of raised dots, which have become the signature style of the textile. Besides dots, several, geometric patterns like circles, straight lines, hyperbolic or parabolic designs etc.are also created. Instead of traditional cotton or sheep wool yarn, merino wool and eri silk are also used.

The textile is usually used as shawl and wraparound skirt by women. These days, the textile is used for dupatta, dress material and home furnishing products like bedsheets and pillow covers.

Pipili Appliqué work is ornamental needlework als Pipili Appliqué work is ornamental needlework also known as Chandua. Pipili  village of Puri district, Odisha, India, is well known for its Appliqué work. 'Appliqué' comes from the French word appliquer, meaning 'to put on'. It has been granted Geographical Indication Tag in 2008.

There are two variants to this technique: appliqué, where a fabric shape is sewn over a base layer, and reverse appliqué, wherein two layers of fabric are laid down, and a shape is subsequently cut out from the upper layer, exposing the lower layer, before both are stitched together. 

Pipili appliqué work owes its origin to the culture of Lord Jagannath during the 12th century. Earlier appliqué umbrellas and canopies were prepared by the Gajapatis for the annual Ratha Jatra of Jagannath.

Nowadays its usage is more in household, decorative and festival products.It  is also used in making pillows, seats and ritual dresses for the deities.

Sirsi Supari is a type of Arecanut also known as B Sirsi Supari is a type of Arecanut also known as Betel nut grown in Sirsi, Siddpaur and Yellapur taluks of Uttara Kannada district in Karnataka. The Supari grown in these taluks have unique features like a round and flattened coin shape, particular texture, size, cross-sectional views, taste, etc. Sirsi Supari has received the Geographic Indication (GI) tag in March 2019.

Sirsi variety has a unique taste due to differences in chemical composition. The total average flavonoids content in it is around 90 whereas in others it is around 80. It is medium in size, somewhat flat and rounded in shape, somewhat ash coloured, and has a hard seed. Its average dry weight is 7.5gm  and average thickness is 16 mm.

Sirsi Supari’ is suited for both white and red varieties,

Bobbili Veena is a large plucked string instrument Bobbili Veena is a large plucked string instrument used in Carnatic classical music. The Veena is named after Bobbili, a place in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh where it was invented. In 2011 the musical instrument got a Geographical Indication tag.

The making of the Veena started in the 17th century during the reign of Pedda Rayudu. At that time, playing Veena was a common practice in India, specially in South India.

A Bobbili Veena is carved from a single piece of jack wood.  This ‘Lion faced’ instrument's frets are made of bell metal as against brass. It is roughly 54 inches long and the diameter of its trough is around 14.5 inches .

In 2000, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu had gifted a Bobbili veena to former US president Bill Clinton during his visit to Hyderabad
